I don't hate downvotes. I hate unexplained downvotes. Feel free to downvote my answers. If you add an explanation I promise I won't bite you. It's more likely that I'll thank you for enlightening me.

I understand why people don't like to comment on their downvotes. Almost each time I do it, it turns into a bad experience because people feel offended personally and respond accordingly.

But to me, a downvote is nothing but a peer review. Just imagine that my colleagues and I would respond likewise!
