Right: what if you know you want a library (no sense in re-inventing the wheel) but you either find a plethora of them without knowing which will fit the bill, or you have no idea where to start looking? This is not only a programming question, it's an exceedingly important one to, as @robert puts it, solve a programming problem. Such questions swiftly get down-voted by the Downvote Brigade, even if the person posing the question (such as me) is not in fact "looking for opinion" but relevant experience.
