Does your company plan to enforce a limiting license for content posted to that company blog? In that case you probably should clearly mark what you copied from your post here to keep the legal department of your company from erroneously going after stack overflow ;)

If the answer is outdated, you can add a comment (or an edit/edit suggestion) saying "this answer refers to version X of product Y", and you can create an answer for the more current versions of the product.

@Servy by chastised I only meant verbally, not a ban (ok, I think once it even triggered a ban, but that was not on my mind when I wrote the comment above)... Oh well, is there something clearly between "No action needed" and "looks okay" so it is intuitively interpreted correctly by everyone? I have to admit I doubt that.

@Servy While that is technically correct, it is not intuitive as far as I'm concerned, at least not until one gets bitten some times. A number of times I also stumbled across some weird case of answer during review, followed the link to see the actual post to get an impression in context, saw that it was already deleted, thought "ah, ok, no action needed anymore", clicked that button and got chastised. Probably "No action needed" should be renamed "Answer is OK" or something similar, that would be more intuitive, I would not press that button by mistake in the situation above.

For a few weeks I can also recognize and skip all tag edit suggestions without support of such a script, in particular as there is no need for this for this week after all... as long as I have a hope that this is a temporary work-around. ;)

@rene When reviewing stuff, I'm not interested in checking for plagiarism but for improving the value of a question and answer for future readers. If that is not welcome, I'll just stop reviewing altogether.

For example, as an answerer, the voting controls will not move on your answers - I just observed it the other way around: Having answered a question the buttons moved on my fresh answer but not on the question.
