Use this tag for questions about (suspected) voting anomalies, like serial voting, pile-on voting, voting-rings and/or cross-voting.
The voting system exists to aid in indicating the quality of the post. For this to be successful it is key that the votes on posts are solely based on the quality of the post.
When other factors influence the voting there might be a case of fraud in play. Examples of frauds are:
- Serial up- and/or downvoting: one users votes on all posts of a single user
- Pile-on votes: sometimes seen when members of a chatroom or visitors of meta start voting on a question
- Voting-ring: a couple of accounts vote on each others posts
- Cross-voting: Up- or downvotes on posts between users
