Use this tag for questions about the drop-down global inbox and its functionality. For questions about the notifications themselves, also include the [notifications] tag.
The global inbox contains notifications for you from the entire Stack Exchange network. This includes @responses directed at you via comments and chat, awarded badges, bounties, suggested edits on your posts, updates on followed posts, new answers to your questions, etc.
You can access the global inbox by clicking on the inbox icon in the top menu bar on most Stack Exchange sites.
If you have questions specifically about notifications inside the global inbox, you may want to include the notifications tag with your question.
