###Attention: only remove the [tag:software-engineering] tag from questions that should remain open. Removing the tag from close-worthy/off-topic questions hampers the clean-up process.

Per TinyGiant's [answer](http://meta.stackoverflow.com/a/341845/2756409), I've started [a chatroom](http://chat.stackoverflow.com/rooms/133657/burnination-progress-for-the-software-engineering-tag) to coordinate cleanup of questions tagged with [tag:software-engineering]. The burnination bot, [Burnaki](http://stackapps.com/questions/7027/burnaki-tracking-progress-and-helping-burnination-efforts-on-stack-exchange) is also tracking the tag to ensure accountability for questions with the tag that are closed or questions where the tag is removed.

It's worth noting that the tag has not been black-listed yet.

You can help out by reviewing the questions and answers in these tags and:

- flag or close questions that are duplicate/off-topic/unclear/too broad/opinion based;
- filter on these tags in the Close Vote Queue and review;
- vote on the questions and its answers;
- delete vote the question or answer(s) if there is nothing of value;
- editing to add value (re-tag), or;
- flag obsolete comments.
