From what I've read, the Stack Overflow Blog is a WordPress site. I'm not actually sure if this is true, but WordPress does apparently support markdown in comments: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/markdown-block/#markdown-for-comments.
Either way, can the maintainers of stackoverflow.blog please consider adding support for Markdown in the blog's comments? Many of the comments contain broken "code" blocks, and often the meaning is completely lost without the proper formatting.
