I have a question about my Stack Overflow post: Invalid attempt to read when no data is present error (reader used twice)

I would appreciate advise on how I close this question. The answer was given in the comments and I've asked for that to be added as an answer so I can accept it but the poster hasn't responded.

If I add an answer and mark it as an answer then I'm taking the credit for someone else's answer.

  • If you've replied to the commenter and asked them to post an answer, then you've done all you can do. If they don't choose to reply within a reasonable period of time, you should just post an answer yourself. You can give them credit explicitly in your answer, calling them out by name and linking to the comment. – Cody Gray♦ Dec 30 '20 at 12:23
  • You can also always change the accepted answer if they choose to answer at a later time and delete your own answer so credit is where credit is due.... – Tomerikoo Dec 30 '20 at 12:25
