  • This is caused because the CSS in "primary.css" does not include .CodeMirror pre {max-height: unset;}. Because that's not there, the pre { max-height: 600px;}, that is also in that file (used for code in posts), is applied to each code line in the snippet editor. While I haven't extensively tested this CSS change, it doesn't appear to need to be restricted to just the snippet view. If it does need to be just in the snippet modal, you can use .snippet-modal .CodeMirror pre {max-height: unset;} Personally, I've just added that to the CSS I normally apply to SE pages. I am answering to confirm that the bug happen to me frequently especially when using SVG with a long path or a base64 image like below.

Try to edit the snippet and you will see that the bottom styles are overlapped.
