The simple answer is NO, non-tag badge Badges are never taken away

- Regular badges once earned, are not taken away
- Tag badges are taken away when you no longer meet the criteria,

5@Rekshino The maintain is intended to clarify that you should have a positive question record over those 5 questions, as opposed to achieving the positive question record and then losing it as you ask 4 more awful questions, perhaps replacing maintain with have would make sense Jun 28, 2018 at 18:35
