You're only getting notified when someone comments on your answer. Not sure why you're now using a different account. Are you sure you modified the settings in your old account and not the one you're using now?

Otherwise, you could try

1. asking a moderator to delete all the comments on your answer. Maybe if people see there are no comments they will think twice about adding a first one.

2. Ask a moderator to comment lock your answer.

3. Ask a moderator to be disassociate your answer from your account

For any/all of these you'd need to raise a custom flag, ideally on your answer. Explain clearly what you want the moderators to do in your flag.
