I think changing the name to reflect the current "macOS" does not seem unreasonable.

The first version to use the "Mac OS" moniker was Mac OS 7.6, released in 1997. Before that, it was called "System 7.5.5" (or whatever version). Also, en-dashes are used to separate numbers. I know, I know, typography is hard on an ASCII keyboard. That's not a good reason for me to be less pedantic.
