Yes, the edit(1) shows. Maybe you just never noticed? This has happened to me I think three times in the past week or two; each time quite disconcerting.

how do you know there is a pending suggested edit? does it show the edit(1) while you are in the review screen? I have to be honest I have never came across a situation like this even though I have done 1K+ first posts reviews O_o
